Colt CZ to Deliver 30,000 Automatic Rifles to Canadian Army Under CMAR Program
Colt CZ Group SE has signed a contract to supply 30,000 automatic rifles to the Canadian Army, valued at 273 million CAD. The agreement, facilitated by the Defence Investment Agency, will see deliveries occur between 2026 and 2029 as part of the Canadian Modular Assault Rifle program. The new rifles are expected to replace older models C7 and C8, with potential future orders increasing to 300,000 units. The contract was signed at Colt Canada's facility in Ontario, involving key officials from the Canadian defense sector.
