The Columbia Shuswap Regional District is offering the 2026 SepticSmart Rebate Program, allowing Shuswap residents to save up to 75% on eligible septic system maintenance expenses. Applications are now open, and residents are encouraged to apply promptly, as the previous program reached capacity within 24 hours in some areas.

The rebates cover specific services such as riser installation, distribution box installation, system inspections, and effluent filter installation, but do not include regular pump-outs. Only work performed by registered onsite wastewater practitioners qualifies for the rebates.
