Conroe City Council Approves Repairs and Equipment for Fire Stations
On April 9, Conroe City Council authorized a $79,988 contract for structural repairs at Fire Station No. 5 and a $69,102 bid for a new breathing air compressor for Fire Station No. 8. These actions address critical infrastructure and equipment needs within the fire department.

Conroe City Council approved a bid for $79,988 to Crowned Eagle Construction for structural repairs at Fire Station No. 5, which revealed deeper damage related to mold and termites. The project will be completed within 45 days.
Additionally, a new breathing air compressor and containment fill system for Fire Station No. 8 was awarded to Allied Breathing Air for $69,102. This equipment procurement aligns with the budget for furniture, fixtures, and equipment at Station No. 8, ensuring operational readiness. The ongoing maintenance relationship with Allied Breathing Air may enhance service reliability, but the council must remain vigilant on future infrastructure needs.
