Consortium Trains 1,000 Nigerians in Lithium-Ion Battery Manufacturing for Clean Energy
A consortium of experts has trained over 1,000 youths and women in Nigeria on lithium-ion battery manufacturing as part of the Zero Emission Generator project, sponsored by Innovate UK. The initiative aims to build local expertise, create job opportunities, and promote battery innovation. Participants received hands-on experience in battery assembly and safety, and each was awarded a certificate and a Battery Pack Design Starter Kit. The training emphasizes the importance of local production in the renewable energy sector.

A consortium including Climate Emerge Innovation Development Hub, Celloop, Decibels, and Thinkclock trained over 1,000 youths and women in Nigeria on lithium-ion battery manufacturing. Sponsored by Innovate UK, the Zero Emission Generator project aims to enhance local expertise in clean energy, create jobs, and promote a circular economy.
