Conversion of Ann Jones' Former Office in Rhyl into Flats and Retail Space Approved
Denbighshire County Council has approved the conversion of a former office used by Ann Jones in Rhyl into retail space and two self-contained flats. The project, proposed by Awat Azad, will maintain the building's character within the conservation area and improve accessibility with new features. Low-carbon air source heat pumps will be installed for heating, and dedicated entrances will be provided for the residential units.

Denbighshire County Council has approved the conversion of a vacant property in Rhyl, previously used by former MS Ann Jones, into retail and residential spaces. The ground floor will be transformed into retail space, while the first and second floors will house two self-contained flats.
Awat Azad is the successful applicant, and the design respects the building's character within the conservation area. The project includes low-carbon air source heat pumps for heating, new access points for inclusivity, and security gates for the rear yard. This development aims to enhance the building's contribution to the area and provide essential residential accommodation.
