Cool Planet Technologies Demonstrates Membrane-Based Carbon Capture at Grimsby Pilot Plant
Cool Planet Technologies showcased its membrane-based carbon capture technology at a pilot plant in Grimsby, UK. The demonstration highlighted real-time CO levels before and after capture using Vaisala MGP241 probes. The pilot facility, which can capture up to 37,000 tonnes of CO annually, is part of CPT's efforts to address global decarbonization needs, especially in hard-to-abate industries. CPT is also preparing to start operations at a new 10,000 tonnes per annum plant in Höver by Q2 2026, targeting high CO recovery rates.

Cool Planet Technologies (CPT) conducted a demonstration of its modular carbon capture technology at a pilot plant in Grimsby, UK, showcasing real-time CO levels pre- and post-capture. The facility is designed for a capture capacity of 37,000 tonnes per annum and aims to meet global demand for carbon capture in hard-to-abate industries.
CPT is assembling a new 10,000 tonnes per annum plant in Höver, with operations set to begin in Q2 2026. The plant plans to achieve 95% CO recovery and collaborate with Holcim for further decarbonization efforts targeting 800,000 tonnes annually. Vaisala MGP241 probes are utilized for accurate CO and humidity measurements.
