Core Lithium Secures $170M to Restart Finniss Lithium Project with Glencore Partnership
Core Lithium has made a Final Investment Decision (FID) to restart its Finniss lithium project in Australia's Northern Territory, backed by $170 million from a consortium including Glencore and Nebari Natural Resources. The project aims for first spodumene concentrate production in the September quarter of 2026, targeting a production capacity of 1.2 million tonnes per year by mid-2028, with an estimated pre-tax NPV of A$1.1 billion and forecast free cash flow of A$1.7 billion.

Core Lithium has announced a Final Investment Decision (FID) to restart its Finniss lithium project in Northern Territory, Australia, supported by a $170 million funding package from Glencore, InfraVia, and Nebari Natural Resources. The project aims to achieve first spodumene concentrate production in Q3 2026 and ramp up to 1.2 million tonnes per year by mid-2028.
The estimated pre-tax net present value is A$1.1 billion, with free cash flow projected at A$1.7 billion based on a spodumene price of $1,500 per tonne. Early site preparation and open-pit operations will commence immediately.
