Corpus Christi Secures $16.2 Million Contract for Reclaimed Water Infrastructure
The Corpus Christi City Council has approved a $16.2 million contract with Reytec Construction for a reclaimed water project. This initiative enables Valero to utilize reclaimed water, promoting sustainable water management and supporting local industry.
Corpus Christi has awarded Reytec Construction Resources, Inc. a contract up to $16,194,400 to construct a pump station and reclaimed water line between the Oso and Greenwood Water Reclamation Plants. This infrastructure will allow Valero to access reclaimed water for industrial purposes, reducing reliance on the city’s potable water supply.
Valero will simultaneously develop its own connections to utilize the reclaimed water. The project aligns with the city's strategy to diversify its water sources and bolster economic growth, highlighting a commitment to sustainable practices in local industries.
