D-Orbit Completes 23rd ION Mission with Diverse Payloads on SpaceX Transporter-17
D-Orbit's 23rd ION Satellite Carrier mission successfully launched on July 7, 2026, deploying multiple satellites and technology demonstrations. This mission enhances D-Orbit's logistics capabilities and expands the operational capacity of its fleet.

On July 7, 2026, D-Orbit launched its 23rd ION Satellite Carrier mission, designated ION SCV Joyful Julia, from Vandenberg Space Force Base, California. The vehicle was deployed into a Sun-synchronous orbit at approximately 590 km.
It carries satellites, including three from LusoSpace for the Lusíada constellation, and technology payloads like Stardome's Notary Source for satellite authentication, and Qualcomm's QSAT1 for advanced communications research. D-Orbit has deployed nearly 230 payloads since 2020, solidifying its role in satellite logistics and in-orbit services. This mission's success may bolster the company's market position amidst growing demand for satellite deployment and data integrity in space.
