Dai Nippon Printing Invests in JCCL for CO2 Capture Technology Development
Dai Nippon Printing Co. has invested in JCCL to advance membrane technology for carbon capture, aiming for a demonstration unit by fiscal 2028. This partnership leverages DNP's manufacturing capabilities and JCCL's material expertise to create efficient CO2 separation solutions, addressing industrial emissions.

Dai Nippon Printing Co. (DNP) invested in carbon capture startup JCCL on July 31, focusing on developing membrane-based technology for CO2 capture from combustion gases. The partnership, initiated in October 2025, aims to create low-cost, high-efficiency CO2 separation equipment by combining DNP's manufacturing technologies with JCCL's selective materials.
A demonstration unit for this equipment is targeted for fiscal 2028, with plans to scale up for DNP Group sites. This initiative reflects a broader industry trend toward carbon capture as manufacturers seek to reduce emissions beyond traditional energy efficiency measures.
