Datatronics Team Wins VW Guanajuato 3.0 Challenge with Predictive Maintenance Solution
The Datatronics team from Universidad de Celaya won the Volkswagen Guanajuato 3.0 Challenge with a predictive maintenance solution. This initiative, aimed at improving industrial efficiency at Volkswagen Mexico's Silao engine plant, involved collaboration with various departments and teams from 26 universities.

Datatronics secured first place in the Volkswagen Guanajuato 3.0 Challenge, focusing on predictive maintenance for the EA211 and EA888 engine platforms. The five-month competition, organized by Volkswagen Mexico and IDEA GTO, involved collaboration between students and Volkswagen personnel from maintenance, production, and IT.
The jury evaluated proposals based on technical robustness and economic viability. The team will receive recognition and a technical tour of Volkswagen's facilities, along with a mission to Spain to present their project. This achievement highlights the potential for data-driven solutions in automotive manufacturing, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration.
