DBG Energy Launches Belize River Valley Biochar Project for Carbon Removal
DBG Energy has initiated a large-scale carbon removal project in Belize aimed at producing verified carbon credits and agricultural biochar. This initiative seeks to address supply chain challenges in the carbon removal sector while promoting soil health and crop productivity in the region.

DBG Energy has established the Belize River Valley Biochar Project, focusing on large-scale carbon dioxide removal and agricultural biochar production. This facility aims to ensure a reliable supply of biomass through a long-term feedstock development program, overcoming common issues such as inconsistent feedstock availability and small-scale operations prevalent in the sector.
The project employs continuous pyrolysis technology for high-volume carbon removal and includes advanced emissions control and real-time monitoring systems for compliance with environmental standards. The dual objectives include generating durable carbon credits for institutional buyers and providing biochar to enhance soil health and crop yields, thereby supporting regional climate resilience and economic growth.
