Delhi Metro Line 7 and Line 8 Extensions Begin Revenue Service with Alstom's Technology
Alstom and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) have launched revenue service for the extended Line 7 (Pink Line) and Line 8 (Magenta Line) in Delhi. The extensions include the Majlis Park to Maujpur and Majlis Park to Deepali Chowk sections, enhancing connectivity for commuters. Alstom supplied modern Metropolis trainsets and a signaling system featuring Grade of Automation 4 for driverless operations. This milestone is part of a larger €312 million contract for Delhi Metro Phase IV, with Alstom delivering 312 cars and maintaining a long-standing partnership with DMRC.

Alstom has partnered with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to commence revenue service on the extensions of Delhi Metro Line 7 and Line 8. The extensions include Majlis Park to Maujpur (Line 7) and Majlis Park to Deepali Chowk (Line 8), which will eventually connect to RK Ashram and Janakpuri.
Alstom is providing Metropolis trainsets and Urbalis Flo signaling systems, enabling driverless operation at Grade of Automation 4. Alstom's involvement is part of a €312 million contract for Phase IV, supplying 312 cars. The extensions facilitate interchange with three other lines, enhancing overall network connectivity.
