Delhi PWD Enhances Monsoon Preparedness at Zakhira Underpass
Delhi PWD has completed preparations for the upcoming monsoon season, focusing on waterlogging hotspots. A drive to rectify vulnerable locations is underway, with desilting of drainage networks mandated to be completed by June 15.

The Delhi Public Works Department (PWD) has finalized all necessary arrangements for the monsoon, with a focus on waterlogging hotspots such as the Zakhira underpass. An inspection led by PWD Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh revealed ongoing construction of a drainage system aimed at addressing waterlogging from Rama Road to Zakhira flyover.
All pump stations are on high alert, with continuous monitoring of vulnerable areas. A city-wide initiative has been launched to assess and rectify waterlogging issues, alongside an order for the completion of drainage desilting by June 15. The emphasis on coordination among departments is critical for ensuring a 'waterlogging-free' environment this monsoon, with strict oversight expected on all ongoing projects.
