DL E&C Develops Patented Slip-Form Technology for Pumped-Storage Tunnels
DL E&C has patented a specialized slip-form method for constructing vertical tunnels over 100 meters deep, reducing construction time by 20%. This innovation is aimed at enhancing efficiency in pumped-storage power generation projects, leveraging the company's experience with RBM and GTX-A technologies. As demand for pumped-storage plants grows, DL E&C seeks to strengthen its construction capabilities.

DL E&C has patented a slip-form method for constructing vertical tunnels over 100 meters deep, aiming for commercialization to enhance pumped-storage power generation. This technology allows the slip-form to float during installation, enabling simultaneous work in upper and lower sections, thus reducing construction time by 20%.
The company recently completed a 120-meter vertical tunnel in Busan using advanced Raise Boring Machine (RBM) technology. DL E&C plans to apply this method to the Yeongyang Pumped-Storage Power Plant project and aims to leverage its expertise to capture opportunities in the growing pumped-storage market.
