Dongwha Natural Maru Achieves Carbon Storage Certification for Wood Flooring
Dongwha Natural Maru has become the first Korean wood flooring brand to receive carbon storage certification from the Korea Forest Service. This certification highlights the environmental benefits of wood-based flooring, supporting sustainable timber use and carbon sequestration efforts.

Dongwha Natural Maru has achieved carbon storage certification from the Korea Forest Service, marking a first for domestic wood flooring brands. This certification is part of Korea's wood product carbon storage labeling system, which quantifies carbon dioxide sequestration in wood products from domestically sourced timber.
Five products from the Gangmaru lineup, including Jin Origin and Jin Grande, along with the laminate flooring line Crogen, were certified, with carbon storage ranging from 34 to 38 kilograms per 3.3 square meters. The installation of Jin Origin or Jin Grande Square in an 84-square-meter apartment can sequester up to 956 kilograms of CO2.
Dongwha's board products also hold carbon storage certifications, contributing to significant annual CO2 reductions. This certification enhances market competitiveness and aligns with growing environmental standards.
