Ducati Launches Predictive Maintenance for Desmo450 MX
Ducati has implemented predictive maintenance for the Desmo450 MX, enhancing service intervals based on real-time engine use. This innovation allows riders to tailor maintenance schedules, potentially reducing costs and service frequency.

Ducati has developed a predictive maintenance system for the Desmo450 MX that adjusts service intervals according to real-time engine stress. Utilizing an algorithm created by Ducati Corse, the system calculates an engine wear index based on operating conditions and terrain, allowing for maintenance interval adjustments that can range from 45 to 60 hours for MID Services and 90 to 120 hours for full engine overhauls.
The update is available at local dealers at no cost, providing a financial benefit to customers by allowing them to postpone servicing when engine stress is lower than expected. This shift from static maintenance schedules to dynamic servicing could significantly impact customer satisfaction and operational costs in the off-road motorcycle market.
