Dunleavy Appoints Tom McKay as Public Member of Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission

Governor Mike Dunleavy appointed Tom McKay as the public member of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, replacing Brett Huber Sr. McKay is a former drilling engineer with a career in Alaska's oil industry since 1980 and served in the Alaska House of Representatives from 2021.
He has experience with carbon sequestration and well abandonment issues. McKay's annual salary is $168,000. His appointment requires confirmation from the Alaska Legislature and his term ends on March 1, 2027. Dunleavy's office did not announce the appointment immediately.
