Dyer Engineering Invests £600,000 in North East Operations for Facility and Automation Expansion
Dyer Engineering has announced an investment exceeding £600,000 in its North East operations, the largest in three years. The investment includes a new 8,000 sq ft facility at the Harelaw Industrial Estate in County Durham, which will enhance manufacturing capacity for project-based orders in the oil & gas and energy sectors.
Additionally, Dyer has invested in advanced automation, including a Matsuura Multi Pallet Horizontal CNC machining centre, significantly increasing throughput. The workforce has grown by 47 people over the past year, reaching over 190, with plans to grow by 35% by 2030. This investment also supports the regional supply chain, with 71% of suppliers located within 50 miles.
