El Centro to Host Ribbon Cutting for $17.7M Southern Pump Station Project Completion

The City of El Centro will celebrate the completion of the Southern Pump Station on March 12, 2026, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. This $17,692,738 project consists of a Sewer Pump Station and a Road Reconstruction component.
The Sewer Pump Station received $5,255,544 from the American Rescue Plan Act and $10,470,044 from Wastewater Working Capital, enhancing sewer infrastructure and capacity. The Road Reconstruction was funded by $2,065,044 from Senate Bill 1.
The upgrade will serve over 1,200 acres, improving local sewer systems and supporting growth. Danenberg Drive has been fully repaired and reopened, enhancing access and connectivity.
