Emmett Fire Department Receives New Fire Engine to Enhance Community Safety
Emmett Fire Department has introduced Engine 3, the first new fire engine in ten years, to better serve the growing community. This $600,000 engine, funded by city resources and wildfire deployment earnings, will replace aging equipment and improve response capabilities.

The Emmett Fire Department has acquired Engine 3, a $600,000 fire engine, marking its first addition in a decade. This engine replaces two outdated wildland units, enhancing firefighting capabilities for both urban and wildland scenarios.
Engine 3 is equipped with unique dual pump systems, allowing for efficient water delivery during wildland fires and structure fires. The funding was sourced from city funds and earnings from fire department deployments across Idaho and other states.
The department anticipates that this new engine will help manage the demands of a growing community, particularly as new developments arise. The involvement of local students during the push-in ceremony is aimed at fostering future interest in public service careers. Emmett's growth has seen a recent slowdown, but the city remains a key hub for the surrounding county.
