ESAB South Africa Launches Advanced Welding Automation Solutions
ESAB South Africa introduces a comprehensive automation range, marking a significant step in welding efficiency and quality. The adoption of advanced technologies such as COBOTs and specialized welding tractors aims to bridge skill gaps and enhance productivity in fabricating industries.

ESAB South Africa is launching a new automation range, starting with the UR10e COBOT and specialized welding tractors for various applications, including bore cladding and tank construction. The AGW1 series tank welder is designed for 2G welding in jack-up fuel tank construction, optimizing safety and efficiency by enabling top-down assembly.
The COBOT system, equipped with app-based software, allows welders to program welding tasks without needing extensive programming skills, empowering them to improve production quality. Furthermore, the new hot-wire TIG column and boom systems facilitate high-precision cladding for demanding industries such as chemical and nuclear. As fuel tank construction accelerates in South Africa due to rising energy demands, these innovations may significantly improve cost and resource efficiency in welding applications.
