The European Agroforestry Federation (EURAF) is urging for policy coherence in light of the EU's draft Carbon Removals and Carbon Farming (CRCF) methodologies. EURAF supports the draft's recognition of agroforestry's benefits but calls for alignment with existing CAP and LULUCF definitions.

Clear definitions are necessary to minimize administrative burdens and promote adoption among farmers. EURAF emphasizes the need to recognize early adopters of agroforestry practices. Through the Carbon Farming Med project, EURAF is developing an IT platform to facilitate a Mediterranean carbon credit market, enabling farmers to manage data and estimate carbon credits.
