EV Resources Unveils Exploration Target for Los Lirios Antimony Project in Mexico
EV Resources has set an exploration target of 1.8 to 5 million tonnes for its Los Lirios antimony project, indicating potential for substantial contained metal. This comes amid a tight global antimony supply, underscoring the project's strategic importance.

EV Resources has announced an exploration target of between 1.8 million tonnes and 5 million tonnes for its Los Lirios antimony project, projecting 70,000 to 166,000 tonnes of contained antimony. The target is based on geological interpretations, extensive channel sampling, a controlled-source audio-frequency magnetotellurics survey, and Phase 1 drilling results from 15 holes.
The focus of drilling was to assess the continuity of the carbonate replacement deposit (CRD) unit, which is expected to be pivotal for the upcoming Phase 2 campaign aimed at establishing a maiden mineral resource estimate. The project is strategically positioned in North America, coinciding with heightened demand for antimony due to supply constraints. The outcomes of the exploration could significantly influence market dynamics for this critical mineral.
