Exotec Launches Skyfleet® Program for Decathlon's European Warehouse Automation
Exotec has announced the Skyfleet® program for Decathlon, covering seven warehouse sites in five European countries. This initiative standardizes logistics operations and improves working conditions, enhancing efficiency across the supply chain. The program utilizes a fleet of Skypod robots and integrates additional automated equipment to streamline processes. The deployment follows Decathlon's earlier successful implementation of Skypod technology, aiming for a uniform approach to store replenishment while accommodating local site requirements.

Exotec has initiated the Skyfleet® program for Decathlon, deploying it across seven warehouse sites in France, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Italy, and Germany. The program aims to standardize logistics operations, enhance supply chain management, and improve working conditions.
Each Skyfleet site features 150 to 200 Skypod robots and supports 100,000 to 125,000 storage locations, with a capacity for 3,000 to 4,000 order lines per hour. The initiative has led to significant improvements in efficiency, with sites like Setúbal doubling their order processing capacity to 114,000 orders per day.
Standardization has also reduced workplace incidents and minimized picker walking distances. The program is designed to be flexible, allowing resource reallocation during peak demand while maintaining local management.
