Finnlines has contracted Valmet to provide integrated automation systems for three RoPax vessels. The delivery will encompass the Valmet DNA Integrated Automation System (IAS), which includes machinery and power management automation, alarm and monitoring, and operational tools aimed at optimizing ship performance.
Systems delivery is scheduled for 2026-2027, coinciding with the vessels' construction timelines. This partnership underlines Finnlines' focus on sustainable shipping practices and operational efficiency. The reliance on integrated systems may reduce fragmentation and improve data accessibility, which is critical for modern maritime operations.
