Flir and edevis Enhance Automated NDT with A6450 Thermal Imaging Integration
Flir and edevis GmbH have collaborated to advance automated non-destructive testing (NDT) using the Flir A6450 MWIR camera. This integration aims to improve defect detection in manufacturing, addressing the limitations of traditional inspection methods.

Flir and edevis GmbH have partnered to enhance automated non-destructive testing (NDT) with the Flir A6450 MWIR thermal camera, designed for continuous industrial operation. This system enables real-time detection of structural anomalies, overcoming the shortcomings of traditional point-based inspection methods that often miss critical defects.
The A6450 features a long-life cooler rated for 27,000 hours and high-speed imaging, essential for identifying subsurface flaws. By integrating with edevis' advanced thermography software and laser excitation, manufacturers can achieve a reliable, contactless inspection process that scales with production throughput. This innovation is vital as industries increasingly adopt automation in quality assurance, significantly improving defect detection and operational efficiency.
