Former Oxford PhD Student Kaye Co-founds Remy AI for Warehouse Robotics
Ben Kaye, a 26-year-old ex-Oxford PhD student, co-founded Remy AI to address automation challenges in warehouse environments. After identifying a gap in robotics, he left his studies to develop a physical AI platform capable of handling complex tasks. The company has gained traction in Silicon Valley and aims to revolutionize the physical labor sector.

Ben Kaye, a 26-year-old who began a PhD in Engineering at Oxford in 2023, co-founded Remy AI after identifying a gap in robotics automation. In October 2025, he visited San Francisco and recognized the potential of physical AI in warehouses, contrasting with the theoretical focus he encountered in academia.
Kaye left his PhD to pursue this opportunity with fellow Oxford classmate Oscar Brisset. Remy AI focuses on developing robots for dexterous and unpredictable tasks in warehouses, attracting interest from Silicon Valley investors. Kaye believes robots can significantly enhance productivity in physical industries.
