ForwardX Deploys 484 AMRs in Chery's Dalian Factory Without Downtime
ForwardX has successfully deployed 484 Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) at Chery Automobile's Dalian facility, maintaining production continuity. This project represents a significant advancement in brownfield automation within the automotive sector, showcasing the ability to modernize existing facilities without operational disruptions.

The deployment of 484 AMRs at Chery's Dalian facility, which produces around 1,000 vehicles daily, exemplifies a successful brownfield automation project. This initiative, one of the largest in the automotive sector, covers the Bodyshop and Final Assembly workshops, ensuring that production remains uninterrupted throughout the implementation.
The AMRs facilitate various intralogistics processes, managing a substantial share of material delivery needs across multiple categories. ForwardX's approach integrates vision-based autonomy and fleet orchestration, enabling seamless operation alongside existing systems and workflows. As the industry focuses on upgrading existing automotive facilities, this project highlights the importance of effectively scaling automation in real-world manufacturing environments.
