France Launches Collaborative Cloud Platform for IPCEI ME/CT 5G Project
The French segment of the European IPCEI ME/CT project focuses on developing a Cloud platform using Sylva software to enhance 5G technologies. Launched in 2022, it is coordinated by Orange and involves academic and industrial partners like IMT, CNAM, Obvios, and Ekinops. The project aims to innovate in areas such as O-RAN, automation, and connected vehicles, ultimately establishing a modular network infrastructure. The Sylva platform facilitates the testing and integration of these innovations.

The French IPCEI ME/CT project aims to advance 5G technology through a collaborative Cloud platform based on the Sylva software stack. Launched in 2022, the initiative is led by Orange and includes partners from academia and industry.
The project explores innovations in O-RAN networks, automation, and connected vehicles. Sylva serves as a modular, open-source telco cloud infrastructure, facilitating the integration of partner innovations.
The project also implements Obvios Dome's automated private 5G network on Sylva, enhancing deployment and management of network functions. End-to-end testing and automation are central to validating solutions within a virtualized environment. Future experiments include deploying distributed private 5G networks connected to a unified control plane.
