FSID Launches India's First Oil-Free Water-Injected Screw Compressor by Kirloskar Pneumatic
The Foundation for Science Innovation and Development (FSID) has launched India's first Oil-Free Water-Injected Screw Compressor (HYDRINO), developed by Kirloskar Pneumatic Company Limited (KPCL). The initiative, supported by the Ministry of Heavy Industries, aims to enhance the pharmaceutical industry's operational efficiency by providing contaminant-free compressed air. The compressor meets ISO 8573 Class 0 standards and demonstrates India's capability in advanced industrial technology development.

The FSID at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, has unveiled India's first Oil-Free Water-Injected Screw Compressor, named HYDRINO, developed by Kirloskar Pneumatic Company Limited (KPCL). This technology, designed for the pharmaceutical sector, received support from the Ministry of Heavy Industries and technical guidance through the Pravriddhi program.
The HYDRINO compressor meets ISO 8573 Class 0 standards, ensuring oil-free air for industries such as pharmaceuticals and food processing. By utilizing water for cooling, sealing, and lubrication, it enhances reliability and energy efficiency. This launch emphasizes India's growing capabilities in indigenous manufacturing.
