Fuel Queue Lengths Decrease in Dhaka Following App Introduction
The 'Fuel Pass' app has significantly reduced fuel queue lengths at filling stations in Dhaka, alleviating public distress. While queues remain, the situation has improved compared to previous weeks, indicating a return to normalcy for fuel access.

The implementation of the 'Fuel Pass' app in Dhaka has led to a reduction in fuel queue lengths at various filling stations. Observations on Tuesday indicated that while customers still queue for fuel, the lines have become noticeably shorter.
For instance, at Meghna Petrol Pump in Paribagh, vehicles waited in shorter lines compared to the previous week, where queues extended significantly. Drivers reported waiting times decreasing from nearly 10 hours to around 30 minutes.
Similar improvements were noted at stations in Motijheel, Rahman Pump, and Purnima Pump, suggesting a trend towards normalization in fuel availability. Continued app usage may further enhance access and reduce public hardship.
