GASCO's national gas network serves 120 million Egyptians, essential for various economic sectors. Engineer Karim Badawi outlined plans for infrastructure enhancement to support imports from new FSRU ships in Sokhna, converting liquefied natural gas to gas for supply bolstering.
The company transported approximately 64 billion cubic meters of natural gas in 2024, with 56% consumed by the electricity sector. Development projects include expanding the Dahshur compressor station and initiatives in hydrogen transport and carbon capture.
GASCO is also advancing gender diversity in technical roles and digital transformation through the ERP program in partnership with SAP. Community contributions include support for educational institutions and infrastructure development.
