INDUSTRIAL IOTPOWER GRIDS & TRANSMISSION

GE Vernova has launched the GridBeats APS (Automation and Protection System), part of its GridBeats portfolio, aimed at modernizing electrical grids by enhancing resilience, efficiency, and flexibility. Announced on February 3, the GridBeats APS allows utilities to consolidate multiple applications into a single device, significantly reducing the number of devices in substations.

This software-defined platform enables remote updates and helps manage the complexities of aging infrastructure and increasing demands from various sectors. The product is being showcased at the DTECH 2026 event in San Diego, California, where GE Vernova emphasizes its role in supporting the integration of renewable energy sources while ensuring operational reliability amidst evolving grid requirements.
