The Logistics and IT Center Vorarlberg was inaugurated by Gebrüder Weiss on April 24, with an investment of approximately €100 million. This facility includes a 34-meter-tall automated warehouse capable of storing 68,000 pallets and retrieving up to 200 pallets per hour.
The complex integrates a manual warehouse and a three-story office space for around 400 employees, optimizing workflow and enhancing process efficiency. Located near the Wolfurt cargo terminal, it facilitates efficient road and rail transport, supporting reduced emissions.
The center employs advanced automation technologies and sustainability measures, including reduced-CO₂ concrete and a photovoltaic system generating 1.5 megawatts of power. The project sets a precedent for future expansions, including plans for an additional terminal in Pratteln, Switzerland.
