GICAN Launches 4th SEAstart Program for Naval Industry Start-ups
The GICAN has initiated the fourth edition of its SEAstart accelerator program aimed at integrating start-ups into the French naval industry. This call for interest targets innovative SMEs and emphasizes dual-use companies, with applications open until May 27, 2026.

The Groupement des Industries de Construction et Activités Navales (GICAN) announced the launch of the SEAstart accelerator program on April 15, 2026. This initiative supports start-ups over an 18-month period, focusing on technologies for both civil and military naval applications.
The program has previously assisted around 40 start-ups since its inception in 2019, with a strong emphasis on innovation in areas like decarbonization, automation, and offshore activities. This edition includes collaboration with Dual Boost, enhancing opportunities for dual-use technology advancements. The application deadline is May 27, 2026, and selected companies will benefit from various promotional events and GICAN membership.
