Gorham Initiates $2.2 Million Main Street Sewer Extension Project
FLOW CONTROL
Gorham is starting a $2.2 million sewer extension project on Main Street, affecting motorists between Portal Way and Mosher's Corner. The 2,500-foot extension addresses a service gap and includes a new pump station to support local development.
Shaw Brothers Construction will handle the construction, which is set to take place along the eastbound shoulder. The town will implement a Main Street sewer impact fee to recover construction costs. The planning board has recommended the fee, pending Town Council approval. The project is expected to conclude by early summer.
