Great Lakes Cheese has acquired 300 carbon credits from the Kirtland Hills carbon credit project to offset its global emissions, with plans to purchase an additional 600 credits in 2026 and 2027, totaling 900 credits over three years. The project, managed by the Western Reserve Land Conservancy, protects a 64-acre area in Northeast Ohio, aiding in carbon sequestration and ecosystem health. Funds from the credits support ongoing monitoring and forest protection efforts.
