CARBON CAPTURE
Green Plains Inc. reported a strong fourth-quarter performance for 2025, with increased earnings attributed to improved plant efficiency and higher ethanol production capacity, now at 730 million gallons annually. Several plants exceeded capacity, and CO2 compression equipment was launched at Nebraska facilities, enhancing carbon capture operations.
The company sold 178.8 million gallons of ethanol, down from 209.5 million gallons in Q4 2024, while net income rose by $66.9 million. The consolidated ethanol crush margin improved to $44.4 million, aided by clean fuel production credits totaling $27.7 million.
