Greenville Water Secures $1.75 Million for Downtown Pump Station Project
FLOW CONTROL
Greenville Water announced the acquisition of $1.75 million in funding for the Downtown Pump Station Project, aimed at improving infrastructure reliability and service capacity. The project will enable water flow from both the Stovall and Adkins water treatment plants and enhance service to the southern area.
Construction is expected to begin in 2027. U.S. Representative William Timmons emphasized the project's importance for community resilience, particularly following service disruptions from a 2022 fire at the Adkins Water Treatment Plant.
