Ground 2 Tap Implements Water Treatment Solution for Estate in Brackenfell
Ground 2 Tap Water Solutions completed a water treatment project for a hotel and wine estate in Brackenfell, Cape Town, in June 2025. The initiative aimed to enhance water security and reduce costs by designing a new containerized treatment system that allows the estate to operate off-grid for its water needs.

Ground 2 Tap Water Solutions executed a project for a hotel and wine estate in Brackenfell, Cape Town, lasting about eight weeks from concept to handover. The estate, previously reliant on municipal water and an outdated treatment plant, now utilizes a new containerized treatment solution designed to meet its long-term operational requirements while efficiently managing water use and quality.
Following an assessment, refurbishment of the old system was deemed unfeasible, leading to the development of a solution that maximizes the estate's borehole capacity. The system is remotely monitored for performance optimization, with adjustments made in response to changing conditions. Key challenges included the failure of a borehole pump prior to installation, which required adjustments to maintain system output.
