Ground Control's Wildfell project in Essex encompasses 116 hectares, integrating a 50-hectare woodland creation scheme and a 22-hectare habitat bank. Funded through the England Woodland Creation Offer (EWCO) and focusing on biodiversity net gain (BNG), the initiative aims to enhance local ecosystems. Planting commenced in September 2022, with completion expected by Christmas 2024, marking it as the largest nature recovery project in the company's history.

Ground Control's Wildfell project spans 116 hectares in Essex, integrating a 50-hectare woodland creation scheme funded by the EWCO and a 22-hectare habitat bank enhancing existing ancient woodland. The project targets carbon sequestration, biodiversity enhancement, and testing various funding routes.
Planting began in September 2022, with a completion date set for Christmas 2024. The site will also serve as a demonstration area for other landowners, showcasing the viability of multiple funding streams and providing educational opportunities for local communities.
