Grundfos Wins Emerging Technology Award for Intelligent Pumping System in Healthcare
Grundfos (Singapore) Pte Ltd received the Emerging Technology - Manufacturing award at the 2026 Singapore Business Review Technology Excellence Awards for its innovative distributed pumping system at Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur. This project achieved a 43% energy reduction and lowered carbon emissions significantly, indicating a shift towards more sustainable and efficient healthcare operations.

Grundfos (Singapore) Pte Ltd was recognized with the Emerging Technology - Manufacturing award at the Singapore Business Review Technology Excellence Awards 2026 for its implementation of a distributed pumping system at Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur. The project involved upgrading primary chilled water pumps to Grundfos TPE models with IE5 ultra-high efficiency motors, along with 44 secondary pumps, enhancing efficiency by matching flow to real-time cooling demand.
This system improved energy savings by 30.7 kW, representing 43% overall reduction and cutting annual CO₂ emissions by 208,150 kg. The successful integration of this technology demonstrates significant advancements in energy efficiency while maintaining critical healthcare operations, suggesting a trend toward smarter infrastructure in healthcare facilities.
