The company signed agreements for 19 new energy ships, with 12 currently under construction totaling 224 million yuan and 7 as intended orders with a planned investment of 112 million yuan. This initiative marks a shift towards cleaner inland shipbuilding in the region.

On March 25, Guiping Hongxin Ship Repair and Building in Guangxi, China, launched a series of methanol, pure electric, and LNG hybrid vessels, signaling a commitment to cleaner inland shipping. The company signed agreements for 19 new energy vessels, with 12 officially entering construction at a total investment of 224 million yuan; 7 additional vessels were signed as intended orders with a planned investment of 112 million yuan.
The vessels include eight methanol-powered feeders, nine electric bulk carriers for the Pinglu Canal, and two LNG hybrid tankers. This marks the first vessels of their kind in Guangxi.
