Headway Acquires Tezi Team to Enhance AI in Mental Health Services
Headway has acquired the Tezi team to automate administrative tasks within its extensive mental health provider network. This acquisition aims to improve operational efficiency, enabling clinicians to focus on patient care.

Headway has acquired the team behind AI startup Tezi to enhance automation in its network of over 70,000 mental health providers. The acquisition targets operational inefficiencies, specifically in insurance verification and scheduling, allowing more focus on patient care.
Tezi cofounder Raghavendra Prabhu will serve as VP of Engineering, integrating AI talent to streamline administrative processes. Headway operates across all 50 states and Washington, D.C., and emphasizes the role of AI as a facilitator rather than a replacement for clinicians. This trend in healthcare highlights a shift towards using AI to reduce operational overhead, which may reshape how mental health services are delivered.
