Hesperia Planning Commission Approves Sam's Club Development with Gas Station
The Hesperia Planning Commission approved a 165,111-square-foot Sam's Club project, including a gas station and carwash, on April 9, 2026. This development aims to enhance local infrastructure and generate approximately 260 permanent jobs.

The Hesperia Planning Commission has approved a Sam's Club project on approximately 25.4 acres, featuring a retail store, a 14-pump gas station, and a carwash. The project includes a main retail building with 571 parking spaces, exceeding city requirements with a total of 684 spaces, and will facilitate traffic improvements along Amargosa Road.
The retail store will operate from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, while the gas station will function 24 hours. Although the Environmental Impact Report identified significant transportation impacts, the project was approved due to its anticipated benefits, including infrastructure upgrades and job creation.
