Himachal Pradesh CM Launches Infrastructure Projects and Proposes Relief Policy for Landless Families
The Himachal Pradesh government is considering a policy to assist poor and landless families residing on government land. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu laid the foundation for various infrastructure projects, including a new Municipal Corporation building and a bus stand in Hamirpur.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced the laying of the foundation stone for a new Municipal Corporation office in Hamirpur, with a budget of approximately Rs. 19.4 crore. In addition, new shops and a Rural Haat worth Rs. 50 lakh were inaugurated to support small traders.
The government is reviewing Supreme Court guidelines to develop a relief policy for landless families. Healthcare advancements include a Rs. 125 crore investment in medical college laboratories and the introduction of robotic surgery.
A new bus stand project costing Rs. 130 crore is underway, along with redevelopment plans for the existing site into a City Centre for public amenities. The Chief Minister emphasized transparency in recruitment processes and acknowledged significant financial gains from hydropower projects.
