Honeywell Integrates AI-Powered Battery Manufacturing Platform at Alabama Mobility and Power Center
Honeywell's Battery Manufacturing Excellence Platform (Battery MXP) is being integrated into the Alabama Mobility and Power Center's battery research lab at the University of Alabama. This AI-driven platform aims to enhance operations for battery manufacturers by improving cell yields and facilitating faster facility startups. The AMP Center will use Battery MXP to support Alabama's automotive industry and provide training for future engineers in battery technology. The lab is set to open in Q2 2026 and will serve as a pilot production site.

Honeywell has announced the integration of its AI-powered Battery Manufacturing Excellence Platform (Battery MXP) into the Alabama Mobility and Power (AMP) Center's battery research lab at the University of Alabama. The platform aims to optimize operations for battery manufacturers by improving cell yields and expediting facility startups.
The AMP Center, focused on modern mobility and power technologies, will utilize Battery MXP as its exclusive automation platform to assist manufacturers in producing cost-effective, high-quality batteries. The research lab is expected to open in Q2 2026, providing training and hands-on experience for students and engineers in advanced manufacturing. Honeywell is also collaborating with FOM Technologies to enhance the electrode production process within Battery MXP.
