Hosachiguru, BDA, and Bluedot Foundation Plan 1.5 Million Sapling Drive for Record Attempt
Aiming to plant 1.5 million saplings on June 27, 2026, Hosachiguru and partners target Guinness World Record. This initiative mobilizes over 5,000 volunteers in Bengaluru to enhance green cover and biodiversity.

On June 27, 2026, Hosachiguru, in collaboration with the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) and Bluedot Foundation, will conduct a large-scale plantation drive across 250 acres in Bengaluru, aiming to set a Guinness World Record for the most saplings planted in one day. The initiative seeks to recruit over 5,000 volunteers, including students and representatives from various organizations, to participate in this community-led effort.
Each partner will oversee the planting of native tree species, with Hosachiguru contributing approximately 1.5 lakh saplings across 25 acres in Ramagondanahalli. The event will prioritize ecological sustainability, with maintenance of saplings planned for three years to ensure long-term impact. This drive not only aims for a world record but also seeks to enhance biodiversity and carbon sequestration in the region, reflecting the importance of collaborative environmental initiatives.
