Huawei Integrates Telecom and Quantum Encryption in Power Communication Network
Huawei has developed a communication network integrating telecom and quantum encryption, in collaboration with China Southern Power Grid. The solution, based on the OptiXtrans E6600 series, protects critical power supply communications for the 15th National Games for People with Disabilities. It utilizes existing infrastructure, enabling low-cost deployment and high-security services, while addressing quantum computing threats. This innovation aims to enhance the security and reliability of power communications.

Huawei has launched a communication network that integrates telecom and quantum encryption, in partnership with China Southern Power Grid Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau. Utilizing the OptiXtrans E6616, the network supports critical communications for the 15th National Games for People with Disabilities, reusing existing fiber and equipment.
This solution employs board-level quantum encryption modules, allowing for low-cost deployment without service modifications. It aims to provide secure real-time services and address long-term security against quantum computing threats, establishing a new standard for security in power communications.
